On January 2, 2020, a team led by Li Jianjun, Dean of the School of Finance, CUFE, departed for the annual meeting of the Allied Social Science Associations (ASSA) & American Economic Association (AEA) to be held in San Diego for recruitment of overseas talents for the school this year.

On January 3-5, Dean Li and Professor Chen Rui interviewed a total of 32 applicants from elite colleges such as Yale, University of California, Berkeley, University of California, San Diego, Columbia and University of Zurich, conducting an all-round evaluation of their academic achievement, professional competence, team spirit, academic development potential and teaching capability, among others. On the evening of January 4, the recruitment team attended a recruitment marketing event at the AEA annual meeting organized by the Personnel Department of CUFE. Dean Li introduced our school’s information including disciplinary development, academic research and teaching requirements, and had face-to-face exchanges with participating students and scholars.

This event was successfully wrapped up on January 6. Overseas talent recruitment allows us to attract potential top-notch talents, but also promote our school and expand its international influence.
