From March 11th to March 21st, Professor David Dickinson, director of the China Research Center of the University of Birmingham, England, taught some behavioral finance courses at our school and course participants included 2014 Academy Masters, and PhD students.

Professor David Dickinson demonstrated its deep knowledge of the system and the superb grasp of the field in the teaching process. Before the course, Professor Dickinson exchanged with students about teaching and knowledge reserves, which first introduced students to the interesting field of behavioral finance, and recommend some reading lists. During the courses, Professor Dickinson explained some theories which are based on consumption like C-CAPM, Bubbles, Overconfidence, The Noise Trader Model and other related theories; mathematical model and inspiration were throughout the connotation of the whole teaching process. Professor Dickinson stressed to the students that to explain the reality of the world is very important, so in addition to the standard model, there came the field of behavioral finance, and he also encouraged students to explore the real people in the economic life choices and decisions behavior.

During the teaching process, Professor Dickinson used charts, formulas and examples to explain the various theories of behavioral finance in simple terms, always paid attention to interactive communication with the students and encouraged the students to ask questions. Meanwhile, Professor Dickinson also told the students to mention some cutting-edge theories, such as Neural Economics and the interesting and fresh information broadened the horizons of the students.

After the course, students gave warm applause to thank Professor Dickinson and communicated actively with him.
