International Policy Advisory Group Meeting

Published:2011-09-05  Views:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in partnership with Earth Institute at Columbia University, the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), and the Columbia Global Center (East Asia·Beijing), are jointly organizing the second meeting of the International Policy Advisory Group (IPAG) to be held on 15-16 June 2011. This meeting serves as a follow-through to the IPAG’s initial meeting on November 2010 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The 2nd IPAG Meeting aims to identify and discuss important economic and financial issues affecting the region—including the reform of the global monetary system and the viability of countries’ monetary policies; global trade imbalances; and problems in macroeconomic stabilization—with the view of achieving an “Asian Agenda”. The group’s policy recommendations are envisioned to feed into discussions in the upcoming G-20 Summit to be held in November in Cannes, France.
