The seminar on the talent training of Professional Master's Program specializing in Financial Technology of School of Finance was held in Beijing Center for Petroleum Science and Technology Exchanges on December 2nd, 2018. The seminar was attended by 5 industrial tutors specializing in Financial Technology, including Li HE, Assistant to the President of Bank of Lanzhou; Xiaojun MIAO, General Manager of Information Technology Department of Bank of Lanzhou; Qin LIU, founder of Guoyinjinhui Data Technology Co., Ltd.; Mingxiong LUO, President of Beijing Jingbei Investment Management Co., Ltd.; Maolu WANG, founder of Beijing Consensus Digital Information Technology Co., Ltd., and nearly 30 teachers such as Jianjun LI, Dean of School of Finance, Renxia GE, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-Dean Zhanyu YING, Vice-Dean Xiaofen TAN and Wang Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. The meeting was hosted by Professor Zhi SU, Executive Vice-Director of the Joint Data Research Center of the Central University of Finance and Economics and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Firstly, Professor Jianjun LI introduced the overall idea and current progress of talent training in financial technology field of the School of Finance at the seminar. Professor Zhenyu YING, briefly described the problems faced by talent training of Professional Master's Program specializing in Financial Technology on the basis of introducing the overall situation of the professional master’s program of School of Finance. Associate Professor Tingting WANG talked about the case teaching in the talent training of professional finance master’s program. He also talked about his thinking on case teaching in the talent training of Professional Master's Program specializing in Financial Technology in light of the current situation of financial technology. Associate Professor Wei DAI introduced the training plan of Professional Master's Program specializing in Financial Technology.

Subsequently, the seminar entered the free speech section. The tutors from academia and industry made a heated discussion on the orientation of the compound talents specializing in Financial Technology, the curriculum design and how the tutors in the industry participating in the training of talents.

Holding this seminar successfully has provided many useful suggestions and ideas for the further improvement of the talent training of Professional Master's Program specializing in Financial Technology of School of Finance. It has a great role in promoting the quality of postgraduate training in financial technology.
