In the afternoon, 12, December, 2015, the Open Day activity for the enrollment of Finance on-the-job training was successfully held in the Academic Hall 706.

Mr. Zhang Xueyong, vice president of the school of finance; Mr. Yue Haifeng, the industrious tutor as well as the financial director of Zhihe Capital; Mr. Guo Dagong, the representative of students, were invited to participate in the event and delivered wonderful speeches.

First of all, students participated this event watched the promoting video of the school of finance with interest, and had a general understanding of basic information including the history of our school, our teaching styles, the construction of teachers and the situation of graduates’ occupations.

Subsequently, Mr. Zhang Xueyong, the vice president, expressed his warm welcome to all the participants and introduced the program on the on-the-job training in detail. He pointed out that this program had a history of over twenty years and had achieved remarkable success. He emphasized four features of this program: famous teachers from Century University of Finance and Economics, industrious tutors, financial contacts and the mobile classrooms. Mr. Zhang Xueyong thought highly of students’ enthusiasm of study and their thirst for knowledge. In addition, he said that the school would provide more study opportunities for students in the on-the-job training class. For example, on 19, December, the school arranged a mobile classroom for on-the-job training students. Students will head for Shouchuang Finance Service, conduct site visits, listen to the “internet finance” lecture and learn the forefront of the industry dynamics. Mr. Zhang Xueyong explained the meaning of on-the-job training and he thought that “the degree is attached to the product, while knowledge is the true harvest”, what helps students gain a deep understanding of on-the-job training.

Later on, Mr. Yue Haifeng and Mr. Zhang Xueyong delivered vivid classes, themes of which are respectively “embracing the pan management on capital” and “the future of China’s wealth management and quantifying the allocation of capital”.

Starting from a large amount of detailed statistical data, Mr. Yue Haifeng made a general introduction of the asset management industry, the Pan-asset management ecosystem and different types of asset management from the perspective of the private equity LP, combing with the actual case and his own working experience. In addition to the common bank certificate, he also introduced the leasing companies, financial companies, listed companies, different kinds of funds and different types of asset management including P2P, FP, FOF/MOM and AMC. He advised that students to update their knowledge reserve, keep pace with the financial innovation, have an overall understanding and think about the future of asset management rationally as an asset manager or a worker in the financial industry under the background of financial innovation inducing the pan-asset management. Mr. Yue introduced an insight to students on further understanding and studying the pan-asset management.

Using large amount of data and graphs, Mr. Zhang introduced the current situation and the development prospect of China’s wealth management. At present, the private wealth in China keeps a high speed of growth and the wealth of the rich ranks among the highest. It is because the rich in China pursues for the stable growth of their wealth that the asset management business faces strong market demand. At the same time, as the asset allocation channels becoming more and more and as the financial calculation technology advancing, which improves the ability of investment portfolio management, the asset management business in China has a prosperous future. He also pointed out that the wealth management and investment is a scientific subject, and students have to acquire more knowledge to gain a higher investment return.

All the teachers taught with heart and all the students learned carefully, which created a relaxing atmosphere. These two classes showed students the teaching pattern in finance in-the-job training which combines theory with practice, and it also showed the humorous teaching style. These classes enable students to understand the teaching style of tutors from industry and teachers from college.

Students learned carefully

At last, Mr. Guo Dagong, the representative of students, shared his experience of studying in the Central University of Finance and Economics. He said that he had a deep understanding of the necessity of gaining more knowledge and optimizing the knowledge structure as a worker in the financial industry. He also mentioned the hard study life in the training but he also expressed his opinion, “when he needs to get up early in the morning of school, it is not his mother but his thirst for knowledge that awakes him”. He said that the impact of the School of Finance and Economics on the finance industry is well-known. Besides, he shared his gain during his study.

This open day activity is very hot and the exciting speech of teachers inspired students at site. This activity ends in students’ hot discussion. After this activity, students asked for the information of registration actively and about twenty students registered at site. The in-the-join training program in December is in the process of registering, and its deadline is 9, January, 2016. Students should seize the time to sign up.
