The Research Center of Private Investment Fund was approved and established in November 2019. With the comparative advantages in the finance field of the School of Finance, the center has established extensive cooperation with partner academic institutions and industry organizations at home and abroad. Its goal is to make great efforts to promote the research and social service for private equity investment funds, and contribute to the development of the private equity industry. The main research direction of the center covers the major fields: private equity and private securities investment, aiming to deepen the understanding of private equity funds on corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, as well as equity investment strategy and risk management.

In recent years, our affiliated researchers have undertaken a number of research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation and National Social Science Foundation, and provide consultation for firms and institutions. The researchers have published papers in top-tier academic journals including Nature Communications, Financial Management, Journal of Futures Markets, Chinese Social Science, Economic Research Journal, and Financial Research Journal.

The center has a council which is responsible for the decision-making for major issues. The academic committee provides guidance for the academic research direction. The center director assumes overall responsibility for the daily operation. The two affiliated divisions include private equity investment research division and private securities investment research division, which are responsible for the research organization and management.
