Speaker:DongliHAN, Doctoral Supervisor, Professor and Director of the Department ofInformation Science at the College of Arts and Sciences of Nihon University.

Prof. Dongli HAN studied at HarbinEngineering University as an undergraduate, and received his Ph.D. in Engineeringfrom University of Electro-Communications, Japan, in 2003. From 2003 to 2006,he worked as an assistant professor at Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan andengaged in research and teaching activities. In 2006, He joined the NihonUniversity as an assistant professor. From 2011 to 2012, he visited theUniversity of Pennsylvania as a visiting scholar and cooperated with Prof.Ungar Lyle, Department of Computer and Information Science in a series of research.In 2014, Dongli HAN became Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of NihonUniversity. Since April 2018, he has served as the Director of the Departmentof Information Science.  

Prof. Dongli HAN’s main research interests are Artificial Intelligence,especially Natural Language Processing and his research findings have beenpublished on several international academic journals as well as presented at internationalconferences. He won the Research Award of the Japan-China Association forScientific and Technological Exchange. Prof. Dongli HAN is fluent in Chinese,English and Japanese and he is also a member of ANLP and IEICE.
