On April 28, the launching ceremony for www.icourse163.com was held successfully. Wu Yan, Head of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education (“MOE”), attended and addressed the event. He particularly mentioned the prominent contribution to course building and development made by Prof. Li Jian, our school’s national-level famous teacher. Prof. Li was invited to introduce our school in a video, and sent a course study invitation to learners all over the world.

In response to the MOE’s call for serving global learners with quality Chinese courses resources and supporting the world higher education to tide over difficulties during the pandemic, the national-level teaching team led by Prof. Li bravely shouldered the responsibility and efficiently completed the production of the English version of Finance, one of the first national premium open online courses. The English open online course “Economics of Money and Finance” was officially launched on April 27, and will premiere on May 18, becoming one of the first online courses launched on MOE’s international online teaching platforms for higher education institutions. It marked a new step taken by our school towards internationalized development of English courses.

Teaching for more than 30 years, Prof. Li has devoted herself to the cause of education and performed her duty as a teacher wholeheartedly. She has made remarkable contributions to China’s financial education, and won the “National-Level Famous Teacher Award”, “Capital Labor Medal” and “MOOC Special Contribution Award”, among others. Finance (Third Version), of which she serves as editor-in-chief, won the 7th “Golden Ram Financial Book Award”.
