The paper "The Interbank MarketPuzzle", coauthored by Associate Professor Xian GU of School of Finance atCUFE and Franklin Allen, Oskar Kowalewski,won the Best Paper Award at the 31^st Asian FinanceAssociation Annual Meeting. The paper uses lending data between multi-national banksand euro-zone banks to explain the huge differences in the scale of inter-bank lendingmarket among countries. The 31^st Asian Finance Association AnnualMeeting was held from July 7^th to 9^th, 2019, in Ho ChiMinh City, Vietnam.
