The opening ceremony of the first phase of ‘Internet finance training courses for senior executives’ held by School of Finance, CUFE, has been successfully held in Room 702, Academic Hall, at 9:00 a.m., March 29, 2014.
Xueyong Zhang, the Associate Dean of School of Finance, delivered an opening speech, in which he introduced the historical achievements and current situations of School of Finance and in detail, the Internet finance training courses for senior executives. The courses would last 6 days; School of Finance invited some successful people in Internet finance field as professional lecturers, including Mingxiong Luo, the President of Beijingbei Finance Management Limited; Xiaopu Zhang, the Deputy Director of Research Bureau of CBRC; Sicong Wang, the founder of IFC1000; and Haihui Zhang, the senior expert of Policy Research Office in Alibabab Group etc. They would provide training courses for senior executives from financial institutions such as banks and security companies, focusing on the overall interpretation of Internet finance, including the development background, the general situation, the innovation, the practice, the operating model and the prospects. In the meanwhile, they hoped that students could interact with each other during the courses and gain some new ideas.
After the opening ceremony, Mingxiong Luo, the President of Beijingbei Finance Management Limited, explained profound theories in simple languages through case study. He introduced the stories of Kodak, IBM, Alipay and Didi Taxi, and the booming development and fierce competition in domestic Internet finance industry, followed by the 6 modes of Internet finance operation and their characteristics. President Luo also shared his private thinking of ‘intermediary exchange in finance’ and interacted with students ardently. In March 30, Xiaopu Zhang, from Research Bureau of CBRC, and Zelian Zhang, the Minister of Electronic Banking Sector in China Citic Bank, respectively communicated with students in terms of Internet finance regulation and how banks could reply to Internet finance.
The active discussion, the heated responses and the driving emotions of students all implies the success of this course. The subsequent courses will be held between April 12-13 and 19-20.
