In the afternoon, May 30, 2015, the recruitment propaganda forum on financial doctor education in Central University of Finance and Economics - Tilburg University was successfully held by our school in academic hall 603.
Mr. Xueyong Zhang, the vice dean of our school, Mr. Jacques D. van Vliet, the director of the office in China on academic connection from Tilburg University, Mr. Fuwei Jiang and Mr. Rui Chen were invited to participate this forum and made wonderful speeches.
First of all, Mr. Xueyong Zhang, the vice dean of our school, made a detailed introduction of the project on financial doctor education in Central University of Finance and Economics - Tilburg University to enable people have a general understanding of the project. Mr. Zhang said that this project is an important step of our school to achieve discipline construction and international development, and it is an innovative attempt to start international communication and cooperation in doctorate level. As the first Sino-foreign cooperative project on doctor education approved by Ministry of Education, this project aims to integrate advantages of our financial discipline and economics, business and measurement disciplines in Tilburg University, and it also aims to cultivate high-level financial professionals with a solid theoretical foundation, professional expertise and a global outlook through the powerful combination.
Mr. Jacques D. van Vliet, the director of the office in China on academic connection from University of Tilburg, made a general introduction of the situation of Netherlands, Tilburg University and the TIAS Business School. He said that Netherlands and China have always maintained very friendly cooperation, and that many well-known brands are from Netherlands. He hoped that this Sino-Dutch cooperation in education can achieve success. He then introduced the basic condition of higher education in Netherlands and highlighted that Tilburg University is one of the top universities in Netherlands and its disciplines including economic, financial and business are among the best in the world. Finally, he sent his best wishes to the success of this project and wished that the students could prepare application materials and get the admission notice successfully.
Next, Dr. Fuwei Jiang from Singapore Management University made a detailed explanation on research proposal writing. He analyzed in-depth from aspects of research question, experience design and so on with vivid examples. Students were also listening carefully and took notes.
Our school has been committed to cultivate high-level professionals with a global vision. The propaganda forum, on the one hand, deepened students’ understanding of our school and the project; on the other hand, it also opened another door for students and provided with them a new opportunity to step up to a new level in study.
