In order to improve the professional level and research ability of the teachers and students, the School of Finance invited Yuanyuan WAN, a tenured Associate Professor of economics at the University of Toronto, to give lectures to students at room 908 in City Campus of the CUFE from August 8th to 10th, 2018. The content of the course is an introduction to econometric methods. More than 20 teachers and students from the School of Finance have participated in and studied the course. This project is supported by “Short-Term Foreign Teacher Professional Teaching Project” of the International Cooperation Department of CUFE, the project number is DQJX20180007.

During class and breaks, Professor WAN had heated discussions with teachers and students. They discussed in depth how to deal with endogenous problems, the selection of instrumental variables, and the programming of measurement software. After class, the students expressed their great gains.
